The Great Okie-Tex Giveaway!
The Okie-Tex Star Party is famous not only for its incredibly dark sky, great food, presentations, fellowship and accommodations but also for the Great Okie-Tex Giveaway! Over the years we have given away many telescopes, CCD cameras, eyepieces, software, star atlases and many other fabulous items!
Each year several thousand dollars worth of astronomical merchandise is donated by our incredible Okie-Tex Vendors or acquired by the star party for the giveaway. We hope you'll support our vendors when making astronomical purchases just as they support your star party.
A Few Rules and Policies If You Please...
Starting with Okie-Tex 2020 we made a few changes and clarifications to the giveaway procedures and rules.
- You must be present during the drawings to win.
- Guests 16 years old and older are eligible in the Great Okie-Tex Giveaway. For Children 15 years old and younger to be eligible for the adult drawing visit the registration desk in the vendor hall anytime prior to the giveaways and pay an additional $25.00.
- Guests paying at-the-door rates are eligible for the giveaway.
- Because some of our guests leave earlier in the week, there will be separate giveaways on two nights. The first will be on Wednesday night and the second will be on Friday night.
- Winners in the Wednesday night giveaway are eligible in the Friday night giveaway as well. After Wednesday night's giveaway all tickets are returned to the draw box for Friday night's drawing.
- On Friday night, all tickets for Friday night's winners will be returned to the draw box for the final grand prize drawing at the end of the giveaway.
- There will be special drawings with nice prizes for all children 15 years old and younger of registered guests.
